Acevedo is a municipality located in the south-easternmost corner of the Huila department of Colombia. Here, the Colombian Andes, coming up from the south, split into three distinct mountain ranges - the western, central and eastern cordilleras. Just beyond the central and eastern cordillera convergence is jungle and thus, moist, cool air. The effect that this has on Acevedo microclimates is that of a simulated increase in elevation—there is a wide diversity in humidity, temperature and rainfall—leading to differing but ideal coffee-growing conditions.
This multi-producer lot was constructed during The Acevedo Cup cupping competition, in which only coffees meeting physical criteria and cupping score of 86 and over were accepted.
Each bag contains 340 grams (12 ounces) of whole beans. If you would like us to grind your coffee, please let us know which method you use at home and it will be a pleasure to prepare it for you!
